Our Story

Sometimes it feels like I became a stepmom overnight.

Alex and I met like most people do these days. Online. Before we even exchanged phone numbers I knew that he had two boys. I was a preschool teacher at the time and have always loved kids so when he asked me if him having kids bothered me I of course said no.

We developed feelings fast.

At the end of our first date Alex sent me a long message, which I will save for my eyes only ;), that basically laid out his immediate feelings for me and how this wasn’t just a first date for him. He was ready for a serious relationship.

I didn’t know as quickly as Alex did. It took me until date two lol. But from then on, we were falling for each other, and FAST. We started dating in February and were engaged by June.

The boys have been calling me their stepmom since we got engaged and since then we have been building the most beautiful blended family.

I am a stepmom, a fiancé, and a blogger.
